[ARCHIVED] ELPD Investigating Home Invasion

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) is currently investigating a home invasion that took place at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Monday, March 28 in the 400 block of Kedzie Street in East Lansing.

The homeowner at the scene of the incident awoke to pounding on the front door and an object being thrown through a window. The homeowner fled the residence and called 911.

Responding ELPD officers took a 17-year-old male into custody in connection with the home invasion. The incident remains under investigation and others may be involved.

Community members are reminded to keep all windows and doors locked and to call 911 if they see or hear anything suspicious around their home or in their neighborhood.
