[ARCHIVED] 5th Annual Taste of East Lansing to Take Place on April 23

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Community Relations Coalition (CRC) is excited to host Taste of East Lansing on Saturday, April 23 from 3-6 p.m. in the 200 block of Albert Avenue in downtown East Lansing.

The CRC is proud to host this annual community event featuring local cuisine, live entertainment and children’s activities. Food tickets can be purchased at the event for $2 each (cash only) and can be redeemed for food samples served up by some of East Lansing’s favorite restaurants and vendors. Profits from this event will benefit the CRC’s continued work in the community. The CRC, a nonprofit in East Lansing since 1999, bridges the gap between East Lansing long-term residents and students through the planning, hosting and promotion of community events and outreach.

Participating Restaurants
This year’s Taste of East Lansing restaurants include the following: Beggar’s Banquet, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dublin Square Irish Pub, Eat at State ON-THE-GO food truck, Espresso Royale, Harper’s Restaurant & Brewpub, HopCat East Lansing, Irio’s Gelato, Jonna’s 2 Go East Lansing, Marco’s Pizza, Noodles & Company, Sapporo Ramen & Noodle Bar, Spartan Signature Catering, The State Room, Swagath Indian Cuisine and Sweet Lorraine’s Fabulous Mac n’ Cheez - East Lansing.

Live Entertainment
Jazz and blues, salsa and traditional Chinese are just some of the genres that will represent the musical diversity of East Lansing throughout the event.

Children's Activities
Children’s activities will include Pumper-n-Pals presented by the East Lansing Fire Department, the East Lansing Police Department’s K9 Unit and Bike Patrol, Kliner the Clown, Professor Magic, face painting and art tables.

“The Taste of East Lansing is a one-of-a-kind event for both students and long-term residents alike. The CRC hosts the Taste of East Lansing to bring the community together through local food, music and activities to promote positive community relations,” said CRC intern Sarah Wallace. “We are looking forward to another successful year and we hope to see you there!”
