EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing has launched a new website featuring a new design, improved functionality and better navigation.
The new site features a responsive web design, which provides an optimal viewing experience for a wide range of devices, including laptops, tablets, smartphones and more.
Other exciting features of the website include a Notify Me® application for City e-newsletters and alerts/information, an open government section, a meeting calendar, a payments/purchases section and a new rumor page - created to spread good news and eliminate misconceptions in the community.
“The City’s new website provides the tools to increase online communication to our residents, while also improving the functionality of our web presence in today’s ever-expanding world of devices, platforms and browsers,” said East Lansing City Manager George Lahanas. “We encourage community members to check out the site and let us know what they think.”
City of East Lansing staff worked with CivicPlus, an independent company specializing in building government websites, to launch the new East Lansing site.
