EAST LANSING, Mich. – The East Lansing Prime Time Seniors’ Program will host its first Pets for Seniors Fair this Friday, July 15 from noon-3:30 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road. All community members of all ages are welcome to attend.
Pets can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and increase social interaction and physical activity – all wonderful things for any age group, but especially for older adults. It is with that in mind that Prime Time is hosting this special event.
A number of animals will be at the fair from Ingham County Animal Control, a shelter that is currently experiencing a tremendous problem with overcrowding. Both older and younger cats and dogs will be available for community members to visit with and consider adopting.
