City Announces 2016 East Lansing Community Photo Contest Winners

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The winners of the 2016 East Lansing Community Photo Contest, officially sponsored by Meijer and Velvet A Candy Store, have been announced. Of the 326 photographs submitted, 13 were selected as winners:

- 1st Place – Dane Robison, Winter Campus View
- 2nd Place – Anthony Beyers, Tree in the Grand River Avenue Median
- 3rd Place – Farish Jazlan, Beaumont Tower

The Honorable Mention winners are as follows:

- Dane Robison – Broad Museum
- David Anderson – Downtown East Lansing
- Barbara Ball – Owl & Cardinal in an East Lansing Backyard
- Ike Lea – Broad Museum
- Jackie Guzman – Downtown East Lansing
- Kate Dean – Red Cedar River Fall View
- Noah Bradow – Beaumont Tower
- Mark Polsdofer – Wharton Center
- William Rowan – Broad Museum Ballerina
- John Duong – Student Welcome Dance in Downtown East Lansing

The winning photos will be featured in a variety of City marketing materials, online and in print. All of the winning photos are posted on the City’s Facebook page.

“We would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2016 Community Photo Contest. We received so many great submissions,” said East Lansing Communications Coordinator Mikell Frey. “We also would like to thank our sponsors, Meijer and Velvet A Candy Store, for generously donating the gift card prizes for our winners.”
