EAST LANSING, Mich. — The vehicle detection system for the traffic signal at the Saginaw-Harrison intersection will be upgraded on Tuesday, Nov. 1, causing intermittent lane closures in each leg of the intersection.
Work is anticipated to begin at 9 a.m. and be completed by 3 p.m. to avoid any disruption during the normal peak hour travel periods. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling through the area and to consider alternate routes if possible.
Work has been coordinated among participating agencies, including both the Michigan Department of Transportation and the City of East Lansing, in conjunction with the North Harrison Road project completed on Aug. 19.
Community members with questions can call the East Lansing Department of Public Works at (517) 337-9459.
