EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Public Library (ELPL) is looking to connect young people in the East Lansing area with businesses and organizations offering employment and job training opportunities for teens.
ELPL will be hosting its first Teen Job Fair on Thursday, April 27 from 3-5 p.m. Businesses and organizations with summer job openings or longer-term opportunities are encouraged to contact Teen Services Librarian Jessica Lee-Cullin at jleecul@cityofeastlansing.com to reserve a table at the Teen Job Fair. The reservation deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 21.
The Teen Job Fair will be preceded by a job readiness series, including a Teen Resume Workshop on Wednesday, April 12 from 3-4 p.m. and a Teen Job Interview Workshop facilitated by a representative from the MSU Career Services Network on Thursday, April 13 from 3-4 p.m. Interested teens can register for either or both workshops at www.elpl.org.
The workshops and Teen Job Fair will be taking place at ELPL, 950 Abbot Road.
