EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Prime Time Seniors’ Program will host its second Pets for Seniors Fair on Tuesday, April 18 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road.
This event is offered in partnership with the Ingham County Animal Shelter as part of the Senior Pets for Senior People program. The event will provide community members with an opportunity to meet and adopt both older and younger cats and dogs. Older pets can be harder to find homes for, but offer the same benefits as their younger counterparts, reducing stress, lowering blood pressure and increasing social interaction and physical activity.
In addition to the animals, there will be games and prizes. This event is free and open to the public.
