EAST LANSING, Mich. — Just after 4 p.m. today, April 27, the East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) responded to an attempted bank robbery at the Bank of America in the 1300 block of W. Lake Lansing Road.
The suspect entered the business and approached a teller indicating he was in possession of an explosive; no device was seen. Despite his demands, the suspect did not obtain any cash from the bank and left the scene on foot. A police K9 track was attempted, but was unsuccessful in locating the suspect. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspect is described as a white male of an unknown age with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing sunglasses and a white-and-blue Detroit Lions baseball hat. The suspect was also missing two bottom front teeth. View surveillance images.
