EAST LANSING, Mich. — All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre (AECT) will be hosting its first-ever Spring Gala on Thursday, May 25 from 6:30-9 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC), 819 Abbot Road.
The event will feature a silent auction, 50/50 prizes, local cuisine, local brews, local wines and more. A number of exciting silent auction items have already been donated for the event, including a one-night stay at the Wild Goose Inn, two tickets to the Wharton Center production of “Fun Home,” a Michigan-shaped Adirondack chair, one-try scuba classes, one-year unlimited to Hot Yoga classes, AECT memberships and tickets, a private wine tasting and tour for four at Burgdorf’s Winery, an autographed photo of Detroit Red Wings’ Xavier Ouellet, gift baskets, gift certificates to a variety of local businesses and much, much more. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the ELHCC front desk. Only 150 tickets will be sold.
“All proceeds of this special community event will benefit the amazing and integral programs that AECT offers,” said Program Coordinator Kathleen Miller. “We hope community members will consider coming out for a fun evening in support of local youth theatre.”
All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre (AECT) offers young people of all backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles the opportunity to produce professional quality plays, study many aspects of the dramatic arts and develop valuable life skills while providing outstanding entertainment to the community. AECT brings four major productions to the Greater Lansing community each year with the help of hundreds of youth from throughout the region.
