EAST LANSING, Mich. – Applications are now available for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 funding under the City of East Lansing’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Human Services Grant Program and Mini Grant Program.
The City allocates grant funds on an annual basis to agencies providing direct services to residents living within the East Lansing corporate boundaries. The City has a list of priority needs in the community. Agencies that provide these services to East Lansing residents are encouraged to apply for funding. Examples of services include respite childcare, legal services, youth services, homeless assistance and more.
For the Mini Grant Program, awarded agencies will receive $2,000 in funds for proposed project activities. For the Human Services Grant Program, awarded agencies will receive $10,000 in funds for proposed project activities. Total allocations are not pre-determined for the CDBG Program. Agencies will be awarded grant funds after review by the Community Development Advisory Committee and East Lansing City Council.
The City will offer a Grant Application Workshop this Thursday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. for new or returning agencies and organizations interested in applying for funding. The workshop will be held in Conference Room A of East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road.
