EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Children’s Concert Series returns this February, featuring three Saturdays of live musical entertainment for children of all ages. The concerts are free and open to all.
The concerts will take place at 11 a.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC), 819 Abbot Road, on the following dates:
Saturday, Feb. 3 – Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer
These two-time Grammy Award-winning artists will share their harmonies and multi-instrument songs in their “well-rounded Americana” style. Having performed for an array of people, from the Queen of Thailand to the youngest child, they are sure to put on an unforgettable show. This performance will be part of the annual Mid-Winter Singing and Folk Festival: http://www.singingfestival.com/.
Saturday, Feb. 17 – The Storytellers
The Storytellers bring hands-on fun and entertainment to all ages with their popular shows. Playing many unique instruments, including a donno, didgeridoo, cuicas and a rhumba box, their music is sure to bring many different cultures to life through songs and stories.
Saturday, Feb. 24 – Gemini
Gemini is a nationally renowned children’s music duo that has been performing for more than 40 years. Gemini’s concerts are filled with rousing sing-alongs, folk tales and music from around the world.
