EAST LANSING, Mich. — In the interest of public safety, East Lansing City Manager George Lahanas, with consent from East Lansing Mayor Mark Meadows, has determined that East Lansing streets will be closed for on-street parking from 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11 to 5 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 12 to aid in snow plowing operations.
The determination, authorized under Section 38-43 of the East Lansing City Code, comes in response to two back-to-back storms that have produced significant accumulation of snow on City streets. Vehicles remaining on closed streets may be towed at the owner’s expense.
This temporary on-street parking ban does not include the downtown area bounded by M.A.C. Avenue, Albert Avenue, Bailey Street and Grand River Avenue.
