EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are advised that the Northern Tail Dog Park closure will be extended for an additional month to allow extra time for the grass to grow in this spring. The park is now expected to re-open to the public on Tuesday, May 15 (weather permitting).
The park has been closed since last fall to accommodate improvements and turf restoration at the site. It was originally anticipated that the park would re-open in mid-April; however, the cold weather this spring has not provided sufficient conditions for the turf to fill in and be ready for use.
The City of East Lansing appreciates the community’s patience during this extended closure.
