EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community meetings have been scheduled to discuss suggested pedestrian bridge access to the Northern Tier Trail from Riveria Drive and Colorado Drive in East Lansing.
The meetings will be held to gauge community interest and support for the installation of two new bridges that would serve as connectors between the trail and the Tamarisk and Bessemaur neighborhoods. The specific locations of these pedestrian bridges would be between 1946 Riveria Drive and 1954 Riveria Drive and at the end of the cul-de-sac on Colorado Drive, between 1798 Colorado Drive and 1777 Colorado Drive.
All community members are invited to learn more about these projects and share their feedback at the upcoming community meetings:
- The Riveria Drive meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 9 from 6-7 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road.
- The Colorado Drive meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 23 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road.
The input and feedback received at these meetings will aid the City of East Lansing in the decision-making process regarding moving forward with requests to Ingham County for an Ingham County Trails and Parks Millage funding award and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for a Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant.
