EAST LANSING, Mich. — Motorists are advised that Mount Hope Road, from the US 127 underpass to MSU Commuter Lot 89, and the Mount Hope-Harrison intersection will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, Aug. 15 for road improvements.
The closures will be in place from 8:30 a.m. until early afternoon to accommodate the application of a fog seal by the Clinton County Road Commission through an interlocal agreement with the City of East Lansing. While lane closures/shifts were initially planned, it has been determined that closing the roadway completely to traffic will expedite the process and minimize the overall delay.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area and to seek alternate routes if possible. Message boards and personnel will be in place to direct traffic. Community members with questions can contact the East Lansing Department of Public Works at (517) 337-9459.
