EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Children’s Concert Series returns this February, featuring three Saturdays of live musical entertainment for children of all ages. The concerts are free and open to all.
The concerts will take place at 11 a.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC), 819 Abbot Road, on the following dates:
Saturday, Feb. 2 – Sally Rogers
Sally Rogers is a nationally renowned singer-songwriter and recording artist with numerous awards for her work. She will be performing an array of traditional, contemporary and original songs. Her performance is part of the annual Mid-Winter Singing and Folk Festival: http://www.singingfestival.com/.
Saturday, Feb. 9 – Tim the Music Man
Tim the Music Man is a seasoned musician who toured nationally as the bassist for mid-Michigan’s 19 Wheels from 1996-2005. He shifted musical gears after becoming a father and is now an engaging, eccentric and energetic children’s performer.
Saturday, Feb. 23 – Melissa Sigh
Melissa Sigh is the owner/operator of Sigh Studio of Music in Old Town, Lansing. Sigh enjoys teaching the joy of ukulele to all of her students. This special concert will feature an interactive and engaging morning filled with ukeles and music.
