EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing has announced that it will close all non-essential City of East Lansing operations on Monday, Feb. 2, as well as other important information related to the snowstorm:
- All non-essential City of East Lansing operations are closed on Monday, Feb. 2. East Lansing City Hall, the East Lansing 54-B District Court, the East Lansing Department of Public Works, the East Lansing Public Library, East Lansing Prime Time and the East Lansing Bailey Community Center will be closed. The East Lansing Hannah will open at noon. * All public safety employees and all essential Department of Public Works employees are required to report to work.
- Residents are asked to minimize travel on public streets for their own safety and to allow for more efficient snow removal on all major roads and local streets.
- Parking on streets is not permitted from 2-6 a.m. and residents are asked to refrain from parking on streets beginning at 6 a.m. This will allow East Lansing Department of Public Works crews to effectively clear snow from roadways and will allow public safety vehicles to effectively respond to service calls.
- Residents are encouraged to remove snow from sidewalks as soon as possible, but must have the sidewalks cleared by Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 8 a.m.
