Play in the Park Brings Outdoor Fun to Valley Court Park this July

EAST LANSING, Mich. — East Lansing’s popular Play in the Park children’s entertainment series will take place on Tuesday evenings this July in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court.

The 2019 Play in the Park program will feature free family activities in a beautiful park setting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2; Tuesday, July 9; Tuesday, July 16; Tuesday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 30.

Community members are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Play in the Park will be canceled in the event of rain or inclement weather.

Here is the 2019 Play in the Park schedule:

July 2
Karen Bonnici
Bonnici combines music and stories to create a unique storytelling performance that will teach, engage and encourage audiences of all ages.

July 9
Dynamic School Assemblies: NASA Space Food
Eating in space presents unique challenges for astronauts. Why? No gravity! Hear about the fascinating history of space food with music, magic, juggling and more!

July 16
Zeke the Wonderdog
Zeke the Wonderdog, a beloved entertainer at Michigan State University athletic events, will being interactive, high-flying, Frisbee-catching dogs to the park for an unforgettable evening that is sure to entertain the whole family!

July 23
Baffling Bill
For more than 30 years, Baffling Bill the Magician has been amazing audiences with his magic shows that are filled with comedy, illusions and his partner, Gus the Bunny.

July 30
Greg Lester’s Puppet Adventures
This Michigan-based touring theater brings its ensemble of hand-crafted puppets to put on an engaging, entertaining shows for audiences of all ages.
