EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing’s 2019 Summer Concert Series will kick off with a free, live, family-friendly performance by Starfarm this Friday, July 12 from 7-9 p.m. in downtown East Lansing’s Ann Street Plaza (corner of Albert and M.A.C. avenues).
Since 2001, this popular, East Lansing-based cover band has been sending audiences back in time with their “totally awesome” collection of ‘80s pop/rock songs. Complete with old-school Adidas tracksuits, legwarmers, headbands and aviator sunglasses, Starfarm gives a true interpretation of their beloved hits in a fun and physical atmosphere.
All community members are invited to come out for this fun, free community event in downtown East Lansing. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and/or grab a bite to eat. Outdoor dining is available at several downtown restaurants adjacent to the plaza. If it rains, the concert will be canceled.
Community members can find the full 2019 Summer Concert Series lineup at www.cityofeastlansing.com/summerconcerts. Concerts will be hosted every Friday night through Aug. 30.
