EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Arts Commission is currently accepting applications for its Fiscal Year 2020 Cultural Arts Grant program.
The Cultural Arts Grant program supports high-quality public art projects that encourage artistic awareness, public participation and/or cultural arts appreciation in the City of East Lansing. The commission has up to $17,500 to allocate for FY20.
FY20 grant-funded projects and events must take place between November 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020.
Examples of projects that received grants last fiscal year include the Black History 101 Mobile Museum at the East Lansing Public Library ($375), the Pumpstock music festival in the Bailey Neighborhood ($500), All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre’s performance of “The Wizard of Oz” ($750) and the children’s arts activities area at the East Lansing Art Festival ($2,500).
