East Lansing Winter Property Taxes Due Wednesday, Feb. 14

EAST LANSING, Mich. — East Lansing property owners are reminded that winter property taxes are due on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Please note that the date published in the City’s annual calendar is not correct. The City sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this error may have caused the City’s taxpayers. 

Property taxes that are not paid by Wednesday, Feb. 14 will incur a 3% penalty. All unpaid real property taxes will be sent to Ingham and Clinton counties on March 1, at which time additional penalties will be applied. For questions, call (517) 319-6860. 

Several payment options are available for those property owners making property tax payments on or before Feb. 14:

  • Online: Credit card and e-check payments can be made online by visiting
  • By Mail: Payments can be mailed to East Lansing Treasury, 410 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI 48823.
  • In Person: Payment can be made at the Treasury windows inside City Hall, 410 Abbot Road, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. 
  • After Hours Drop Box: Payments can be deposited in the blue drop box in the north parking lot of East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road.
