If I buy a house, can my child and a roommate live in it without me?
No, if your child and a roommate live in a home it will require a rental license. Only family of THE OWNER can live at the house without a rental license. Since your child is not an owner, only your family members may live there without a rental license. (See definition of family in Question 1)
