Play in the Park

Play in the Park, an interactive children's entertainment series, has become a tradition in East Lansing. Children and their families can bring a picnic, blanket and/or lawn chair and enjoy family friendly entertainment in a beautiful park setting.

Play in the Park takes place in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court, at 7 p.m. on all five Tuesdays in July. It's free! *Canceled in the event of rain or severe weather.

    Greg Lester Puppet Adventures
    Greg Lester will bring families on an adventure with his reenactment of the magical story of “Jack and the Beanstalk.”

    Cirque Amongus
    Cirque Amongus puts on a show filled with a surprising combination of comedy, circus skills and audience participation!

    Magic with P.J. Weber
    Magician P.J. Weber puts on a high-energy show full of magic, comedy and illusions that will bring smiles and laughter to the whole audience.
    July 24
    Tunes N’ Tales
    This group entertains with interactive tunes and music that will have everyone singing and dancing along!
    July 31
    Zeke the Wonderdog
    Zeke the Wonderdog, a beloved entertainer at Michigan State University athletic events, will bring interactive, high-flying, Frisbee-catching dogs to the park for an unforgettable evening that is sure to entertain the whole family!
